1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Regulatory Signals ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

1a. Not a Law Firm — No Legal Advice

Regulatory Signals is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The Service generates compliance documents and risk classifications based on automated analysis. Output is informational only and is not a substitute for licensed legal counsel. You are solely responsible for reviewing all generated content with qualified counsel before publishing or relying on it for compliance purposes.

2. Description of Service

Regulatory Signals provides continuous compliance monitoring, automated scanning, and regulatory alerts for websites. The Service is designed to help users track compliance changes and collect evidence.

The Service does not constitute legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is formed by your use of the Service. All monitoring results are for reference only.

3. No Guarantees of Compliance

While we strive for accuracy, Regulatory Signals does not guarantee that use of the Service will ensure compliance with any law or regulation (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, or other regulations). Compliance is the sole responsibility of the user. We do not guarantee that our tools will detect all changes, cookies, or technical issues on your site.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4a. User Obligations and Acceptable Use

By using the Service you agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms;
  • Provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date;
  • Keep your account credentials confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorised access;
  • Not use the Service to submit, store, or process any content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes third-party intellectual property rights;
  • Not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or circumvent any security or authentication measures;
  • Not use the Service to generate compliance documents intended to deceive regulators or individuals.

4b. Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is expressly prohibited (DSA Art. 14; applicable law):

  • Submitting illegal content or using the Service to facilitate illegal activity;
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service;
  • Using automated means (bots, scrapers) to access or extract data from the Service beyond what is expressly permitted by our API;
  • Impersonating another person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation;
  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure;
  • Reselling, sublicensing, or commercially redistributing the Service without written authorisation.

Violation of these provisions may result in immediate account suspension or termination and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement.

4c. Account and Service Termination

Termination by you: You may cancel your subscription and close your account at any time via the dashboard Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for unused time except as stated in Section 5.

Termination by us: We may suspend or terminate your account with immediate effect if:

  • You breach these Terms and fail to remedy the breach within 7 days of written notice;
  • You engage in conduct prohibited under Section 4b;
  • Continued provision of the Service becomes unlawful.

Effect of termination: Upon termination, your access to the Service ceases. Scan data and generated documents are deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records by law (e.g., tax records for up to 7 years).

5. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to the pricing and payment terms presented at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new monthly and annual subscriptions. If you are unsatisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial payment by contacting [email protected]. After 14 days, or for renewal payments, all fees are non-refundable. Refunds are processed via Stripe and may take 5–10 business days to appear in your account.

One-time pack purchases: One-time pack purchases (including the Vibe-Coded Audit, MCP Audit, Agent Evaluation, DORA Pack, and HIPAA Pack) are non-refundable once the deliverable PDF or signed evaluation is issued. Exceptions apply for material defects in the deliverable — contact [email protected] within 7 days of delivery with a description of the defect.

Chargebacks: Opening a chargeback without first contacting support constitutes a breach of these Terms and may result in account suspension.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Regulatory Signals be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service or any documentation generated by the Service. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you for any direct loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Regulatory Signals in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding related to your access to or use of the Service shall be instituted in the courts of Ireland, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you hold under the law of your country of habitual residence.
